A second trip to Switzerland has been germinating in my brain for a few months, just needing an impetus to proceed. Well, a couple of FF-mile seats available on UA provided it so off to Switzerland we went.

I did not want just a repeat of my previous trip there 14 years ago so I came up with an itinerary that covered my favorite places from last time as well as a couple of new areas that I thought might be fun to explore. Those areas turned out to be a couple of other countries but more on that later.

My friend Sushma had vacation time already set so I got this bright idea to take her along and serve as my photo prop. BTW, I refer to her as my 'prop' in the fondest of ways ok? Don't get the idea that I just stuffed her into my equipment bag and pulled her out when the scene warranted it, er, her.
